Quick tip 1: It may seem strange to treat "stainless" steel for rust. Some stainless steel becomes contaminated by carbon/mild steel. In this case, it is likely 304 grade, which is not ideal in coastal environments. 316 (A4) grade would be more suitable.
Quick tip 2: To test how long treated metal remains rust-free, we treated cast-iron downpipes with Oxy Cleanze and left them unpainted and exposed to the elements.
They remained clear of rust even several months later. (Normally, we would apply a rust-protection paint such as smooth Hammerite after treatment.)
Quick tip 3: When using Oxy Cleanze, always protect surrounding surfaces and wear suitable PPE.
