Quickly remove black algae & lichen ("black spot") from paths and patios

Tornado Cleanze

BENZ TORNADO CLEANZE - with "super-stickability"

Black algae and lichen ("black spot") and "white spot" (white lichen) can now be easily, quickly and effectively removed with Tornado Cleanze following a "pre-biocidal treatment" with Benz Lightning Cleanze.

Tornado Cleanze sticks to discoloured surfaces, including vertical render, giving it maximum cleaning power to remove the most stubborn stains

Heavy algae and lichen growth can be challenging to remove using conventional cleaning products. Even regular soft washing may not be fully effective on very deep staining, or provide sufficiently fast results.

Tornado Cleanze is the solution. After treating with Lightning Cleanze biocide, Tornado Cleanze easily, quickly and safely removes any remaining black, green, red and yellow staining from external hard surfaces.

Its rapid, precisely targeted cleaning action means there's no overspray or spray drift onto surrounding properties and plants.

And it's gel nature means that the potential for splashing into eyes and onto other surfaces is substantially minimised.

What is Tornado Cleanze?

Click here to learn about Tornado Cleanze – the sodium hypochlorite gel with "super-stickability" - capping stones, concrete, brick, path, patio, black algae, black lichen, kill, control, moss, mould, mold, lichen spots, lichen dotsTornado Cleanze is a non-penetrating, very strong sodium hypochlorite gel that stays on the surface.

This gives it a long contact time and a remarkable power to oxidise and remove the discolouration caused by micro-organisms.

Simply brush on, leave for a 15-60 minutes and rinse – Tornado Cleanze acts fast!

Where to use?

Click here to learn about Tornado Cleanze – the sodium hypochlorite gel with "super-stickability" - capping stones, concrete, brick, path, patio, black algae, black lichen, kill, control, moss, mould, mold, lichen spots, lichen dotsTornado Cleanze can be used as a stand-alone cleaning solution on paths, patios, driveways, render, concrete, capping stone, sandstone, capping stones, chimneys, brickwork, stonework, window sills, some plastics and most other exterior hard surfaces.

Tornado Cleanze can also be used as a topical spot-cleaning product after applying a treatment of Benz Lightning Cleanze biocide, e.g. for removing black streaks and stains from render.

Tough black spots: Always follow up a treatment of Tornado Cleanze with an application of Bio Cleanze. This is because some, usually very small, black spots may be difficult to remove completely at first. But they will disappear over time when treated with Bio Cleanze.

Ideally treat any small remaining black dots with Bio Cleanze at 20-25:1. But not if children or animals will use the area. In that case treat at 50:1 every 6-12 months, which will keep the whole area clean whilst the stubborn black spots gradually release their grip and weather away.

Quick tips

1) In low temperatures, especially when less than 8 degrees C, leave for up to an hour to fully activate.

2) When rinsing, use low pressure and minimal agitation to reduce foaming of the rinse water.

Ongoing maintenance: To keep surfaces permanently clean all year around, it's important to post-treat with Bio Cleanze after thoroughly rinsing off Tornado Cleanze.
