Why does Benz Bio Cleanze contain IPA? (video)
When applying soft washing chemicals to a customer's property we think it important that a contractor has a good working knowledge of the chemical products they are using.
This knowledge impacts on health and safety, and on implementing effective working practices that contribute to a successful soft washing business.
This week we look at Benz Bio Cleanze. We noticed some confusion on the web surrounding the reasons we add IPA (Isopropyl Alcohol) to this powerful and highly effective biocide.
So we made the video below so that our customers have clear and accurate information.
Since we made this video, products have been released onto the market with the solvent ethylene glycol (EG) added instead of IPA.
It may not appear on the SDS sheet but studies have shown that combining DDAC and EG increases toxicity in the lungs of humans.
Quick tip: The image of a beer can at the top of this post does not represent the type of IPA used in Bio Cleanze! It's just a funny to brighten your day. :)

Hi Geir.
We are currently focusing on providing online training via instructional videos and textual articles.
At the moment there are no government guidelines as to what should be included in a practical soft washing training course. And there is no government body overseeing such training. Therefore there is no soft wash training course in the UK and Ireland that has any goverment or legal standing and any certificate that such a course may issue would be worthless.
When we receive notification from the government as to what they want in a hands-on training we’ll put the course together asap and will issue government backed soft washing certification.
