Quick tip: If your customer and nature of the job makes it possible, we suggest using Benz Lightning Cleanze as your first choice product to clean a painted surface, because cleaning and rinsing can often be completed on the same day.

Soft washing painted surfaces with Bio Cleanze

Sometimes a customer's preferences, site regulations or ecological considerations, may indicate the use of Benz Bio Cleanze to soft wash painted surfaces.

This can be particularly appropriate if the property is near a pond or watercourse that rinse water should not enter.

If the property is to be re-painted, apply Bio Cleanze and rinse off after a week or two, when the biofilm (e.g. organic growths such as green algae) has gone.

Quick tip: If the paintwork is not going to be re-painted, but only needs cleaning, there is no need to rinse Bio Cleanze. Simply allow rain to wash it away over time.

This ensures that any chemical residues are removed and also spiders nests, birds droppings, dust, and so on, which is essential for good pre-painting preparation.

Soft washing sand and cement render

Sand and cement render is a different proposition, especially if it's been left for a long time when it should have been painted. In this case we suggest applying Bio Cleanze and leaving it for as long as possible, at least a month and preferably two.

This allows time for natural cleansing to take place and for the deeply rooted growths to release their grip on the surface.

A final treatment with Lightning Cleanze and thorough rinsing completes the job, and the surface can be painted when it's fully dried out.

Quick tip: If a soft washing contractor treats the surface for a commercial painter, ask the painter to rinse the surface themselves, saving the soft washing contractor a second journey.
