Tornado Cleanze is a powerful, non-penetrating softwash cleaning gel designed for the targeted removal of stubborn exterior staining that remains after biocidal treatment. It is particularly effective on ingrained black, red, green and yellow staining caused by dead algae and lichen residues, often referred to as “black spot”.
Its thick gel formulation allows precise application, long contact time and excellent adhesion, making it ideal for spot cleaning and detailed work on sensitive or high-visibility areas.

How it works
Tornado Cleanze accelerates the natural oxidation process that occurs when dead biological staining is broken down by UV light. It targets the residual staining left behind after algae and lichen have been killed by an approved biocide, such as Lightning Cleanze or Bio Cleanze.
The gel remains on the surface rather than penetrating it, allowing extended contact time with the staining. This controlled action enables effective removal of deeply ingrained discolouration without the aggressive behaviour associated with acid-based cleaners.

Application & use overview
Tornado Cleanze is intended for brush or roller application.
Apply a thin, even film to the affected area and allow to dwell for 15–60 minutes, depending on temperature and severity of staining. Rinse thoroughly after activation.
Tornado Cleanze can be diluted and sprayed if required, but this is not its intended use. For large-area spray applications, Lightning Cleanze is the more appropriate product.
Light agitation with a soft brush after 10–15 minutes may be beneficial on particularly stubborn staining.
What results to expect
- Black and green staining typically disappears within 15–60 minutes in mild conditions
- Heavy red staining may turn pink initially and continue fading over 24–48 hours
- Some severe staining may require a second application
