What's the best way to remove algae by soft washing?

Algae is the number one cause of properties looking "dirty"

Algae can be red, green, or black and will colonise exterior surfaces such as renders, concrete, timber decking, aluminium and so on.

A large build up of algae can look “grimy”, especially when it's dormant as then the colour often changes to black or brown.

Watch the video below to learn how to remove algae by soft washing ...

Historically, pressure washing, or industrial bleach approved only for milking parlours and swimming pools, has been used to remove the grime. However the algae spores remained and quickly recolonised.

This meant that the grimy appearance reappeared after only a few short months, depending on the time of year.

This disappointed many property owners, especially as pressure washing can be very expensive. The net result was that some people began to leave cleaning their drives and paths until they got “really bad”.

Fortunately, by sterilising the surface by using a combination of Benz Lightning Cleanze followed by treatment with Benz Bio Cleanze, a 12-24 month application is usually sufficient to give year round cleanliness and freedom from re-growth.

Quick tip: It's important to remember that sodium hypochlorite, bleach, or pressure/power washing alone cannot offer this level of protection. Which is why we treat properties with Bio Cleanze to give our customers' the benefit of its powerful long-term "Residual Biocide Protection" against re-colonisation by algae spores.

We hope you found this information helpful and sincerely wish you great success in your soft washing business,
