We hope you have a fantastic Christmas and are looking forward to a prosperous new year!  

Welcome to the first edition of our quarterly newsletter, which we plan to bring to you every season to catch up with you and fill you in on what we've been up to.

We also aim to discuss problems and solutions relevant to all of us soft washers for each time of the year.

Company News

 

This quarter has been very busy, with our biggest news being the launch of our chemical dilution and application machine, which we call the Benz Zapplicator.

It has taken over 5 years of R&D and real-world soft washing testing to design and create this system.

The Zapplicator utilises the best of both van and mobile units, employing precision Dosatron pumps to accurately mix chemicals and is made from high-quality stainless steel.

The frame has a secondary function as a manifold, a key design note that brings about simple plumbing as well as huge versatility in what you want to do with the Zapplicator and how.

Any electric pumps designed to boost flow rates or water pressure only handle water, so you can say goodbye to pumps damaged by chemicals for good!

It is a significant leap in health, safety, and efficiency for anyone currently batch mixing their soft wash solutions.

Additionally, last month, we launched our Loyalty Programme, which will help save you money, which is always a good thing!

We have a Trade Tips and video explaining how the programme works but basically earn points with every purchase made or actions on social media.

The points you earn can then be redeemed against future purchases in the form of discount codes.

Customer Case Studies / Testimonials:

This was a decking we were called in to rescue which was in very bad condition. The decking itself is 9 years old and had very little maintenance despite it being a high traffic area for adults, children and dogs.

The lack of upkeep combined with the bad weather we have had, resulted in a build up of algae so bad that it made it so slippery and dangerous.

We went in with Lightning Cleanze , let that sit for 30 minutes, then agitated with a soft brush. We then gently pressure washed and completed with Bio Cleanze.

The deck is no longer slippy, is much safer and looks much better on the eye. The family are delighted!

Pressure Points:

Cold/freezing temperatures and how that can affect your business:

Soft washing can be conducted throughout the year, except during freezing or near-freezing temperatures. It's crucial to note that the efficacy of softwash chemicals is compromised in cold conditions, leading to a longer duration for them to exhibit their full effects.

To navigate this challenge, certain tasks can be prioritised during cold weather, such as cleaning windows and gutters or jet washing paths, drives, and patios, reserving post-treatment with Bio Cleanze for warmer weather.

When outdoor work becomes impossible due to adverse cold weather, it's wise business practice to focus on neglected tasks. This may include building or editing your website, creating or editing marketing materials, producing promotional videos, canvassing for future work, and maintaining equipment.

The impact of cold weather on softwash chemicals is notable, slowing down cleaning effect Bio Cleanze. Results from products like Lightning Cleanze may also be delayed, necessitating adjustments in application strategies.

To counteract prolonged activation times in cold weather, a stronger dilution may be considered, ensuring safety for surfaces, humans, and animals, and the use of full personal protective equipment (PPE).

Avoiding saturation of porous surfaces like render during freezing conditions is imperative to prevent damage caused by the expansion of ice. 

Strategies for minimising the impact of low temperatures include spraying on the warmest days, timing application during the warmest part of the day, and maximizing contact time for optimal results.

In other news from the community here in Cork, we were able to assist some of the businesses in Midleton that were devastated by recent floods.

Pressure washing and disinfection were the order of the day, and the entire community came together to lend a hand.

Not all businesses are yet back up and running.

We sponsored jerseys for our local football team.

The Corkbeg U12A team is now looking super professional!

 2023 was definitely a busy year here at Benz Softwash, apart from our new equipment we launched our new rust stain removal product Rust Cleanze - a handy product to keep in the van to add value to contracts.

We also expanded our team further to ensure you the customer always can trust our customer service no matter how much we grow. The Zapplicator is off and running and we cannot wait to see what 2024 has in store!
