Cobas Pink Industrial PTFE Thread Tape
A heavy-duty, maximum-density PTFE tape for sealing threaded pipework and fittings.
Product overview
Cobas Pink Industrial PTFE Tape is designed for reliable sealing of threaded joints and fittings.
Its maximum-density construction gives a stronger, more substantial wrap than standard lightweight plumbers' tape and means fewer wraps are required to achieve an effective seal.
Suitable for use with water, steam and other liquids, it is a practical choice for professional pipework, equipment and maintenance applications.

Why use maximum-density PTFE tape?
Compared with thinner traditional PTFE tape, the greater density allows the tape to build an effective seal more quickly around the thread.
The manufacturer states that two wraps are more than enough for many applications, helping reduce excessive build-up while making installation quicker and more consistent.
Suitable for
Cobas Pink Industrial PTFE Tape can be used for sealing compatible threaded joints carrying:
- Water
- Steam
- Other suitable liquids
Always ensure the tape, fittings and complete system are suitable for the liquid, pressure and operating temperature involved.
Application
Apply the tape evenly around the male thread in the same direction that the fitting will tighten.
Keep the tape flat and under light tension as it is wrapped, then assemble and tighten the joint as required.
Avoid allowing excess tape to extend over the end of the fitting where it could enter the system.
Temperature range
Suitable for operating temperatures from:
-268°C to +260°C
WRAS approved
Cobas Pink Industrial PTFE Tape is WRAS approved, making it suitable for appropriate water-system applications where WRAS-approved materials are required.
