Are pencil jets or fan jets best for soft washing brushes?

Softwash chemical application kit

We use pencil jets in our brushes because we've found they don't clog or break as much as fan jets.

In the case of the Gardiner 45cm brush we use four of them. We turn the pump down so the flow rate is acceptable and does not produce much run-off.

Flow control at the pole is still critical however. When treating a roof for example, we often turn the flow off completely for a period of time and brush in the product that is flowing down the roof.

Quick tip: Without good flow control pencil jets can use more chemical than fan jets, which is why we invented the trigger system. It's important to be able turn off the flow quickly, and to vary the flow rate, which massively reduces the amount of chemical used and solves the problem.

Click here to take a look at our Softwash Chemical Application System (as seen in the photo above). It allows you to regulate the flow and solves a lot of application problems.

We sincerely wish you great success in your soft washing business,

Benz Team
