Softwash spray nozzles designed for controlled low-level chemical application.
Product Overview
These nozzles are designed to fit our 1/4" stainless steel couplings, allowing them to connect directly to the outlet of Benz low-level and mid-level softwash lances.
The different tips provide efficient flow with excellent control and droplet pattern for the type of chemical being applied.
They are interchangeable, allowing contractors to quickly change flow rates depending on the chemical being applied and the surface being treated.

These nozzles are intended for ground-level softwash work where controlled chemical application is required:
- Close range render treatment - especially useful around reveals
- Fascia, soffit and gutter cleaning

Available Nozzle Sizes
Benz softwash spray nozzles are available with three interchangeable tip sizes: 6.5, 10 and 15.
The number stamped on the face of the tip represents the fluid delivery rating in litres per minute at 6 bar, with the higher delivery rating producing a coarser droplet pattern more suitable for the chemical, helping to reduce overspray and/or run-off.
In simple terms, the smaller the number, the smaller the orifice in the nozzle and the higher the delivery pressure.
6.5 Nozzle
The 6.5 nozzle is best suited for applying Bio Cleanze.
The smaller orifice increases delivery pressure, helping the chemical penetrate deeper into biological growth.
- Best for Bio Cleanze
- Recommended flow rate: 2–6 L/min at the nozzle
- Suitable for smaller pumps such as 12 V softwash systems, as well as larger pumps tuned down.
10 Nozzle
The 10 nozzle is best suited for applying Lightning Cleanze with smaller pumps.
It provides higher flow while helping reduce spray drift, making it a good choice for systems such as 100 psi 5 L/min pumps commonly used for window cleaning.

- Recommended flow rate: 1–2 L/min at the nozzle
- Can also be used for Bio Cleanze, but with less penetration than the 6.5 nozzle
15 Nozzle
The 15 nozzle is designed for higher flow applications.
It is typically used with larger softwash pumps where faster coverage is required.

- Recommended flow rate: up to 10 L/min at the nozzle
- Suitable for larger softwash pump systems
Understanding Flow Rates
Reducing the size of the nozzle orifice increases pressure and velocity but reduces the volume of liquid flowing through the nozzle.
A simple way to visualise this is by squeezing the end of a garden hose. The water sprays further but the overall flow rate decreases.
Different chemicals and surfaces require different flow rates, so selecting the correct nozzle size is important for efficient application and reduced overspray.
How to Check Your Flow Rate
The easiest way to measure flow rate is to direct the nozzle into a bucket for one minute and measure the volume collected.
- 2 litres collected = 2 L/min flow rate
- 5 litres collected = 5 L/min flow rate
Adjust the pump flow until the chemical is being applied evenly without excessive run-off.
With experience, you will quickly develop a feel for the correct flow rate for different surfaces.
