Benz Zaplock Plug
Professional double shut-off plug for connecting softwash hoses, water-fed poles, spray triggers and lances.
The Benz Zaplock Plug is a professional quick-release connector designed to make connecting and disconnecting your soft washing and window cleaning equipment easier, cleaner and safer.
When connected to a Benz Zaplock Coupling, the internal valves open to allow water or cleaning solution to flow. When disconnected, the valves automatically close, helping prevent water or chemical solution from escaping from either side of the connection.
Available with a choice of hose tails and BSP threaded fittings, Zaplock Plugs can be fitted to hoses, water-fed poles, spray triggers and lances, allowing you to use the same connection system across your equipment.
Every Benz Zaplock Plug connects with every Benz Zaplock Coupling, regardless of the hose tail size or threaded connection fitted.
Choose your connection type
Benz Zaplock Plugs are available with five different connection options to suit your equipment.
Hose Tail Connections
- 1/2" (12.5 mm) Hose Tail – For standard softwash and garden hoses with a 12.5 mm inside diameter.
- 3/8" (8 mm) Hose Tail – For microbore hoses with an 8 mm inside diameter.
- 1/4" (5–6 mm) Hose Tail – For minibore and water-fed pole hoses with a 5–6 mm inside diameter.
BSP Threaded Connections
- 1/2" BSP Male Thread – For connecting to compatible female BSP threaded fittings and equipment.
- 3/8" BSP Female Thread – For connecting to compatible male BSP threaded fittings, commonly found on certain spray triggers, lances and accessories.
Important: Hose tail sizes refer to the inside diameter (ID) of your hose. BSP sizes refer to British Standard Pipe thread designations. They are not the same measurement, so always check the connection on your equipment before ordering.
Why use Benz Zaplock Plugs?
Changing between hoses, spray triggers, lances and water-fed poles can be a messy job when using ordinary hose connectors.
The Zaplock system makes this much simpler. Push the plug into a compatible Zaplock Coupling to establish the connection. When you disconnect it, the internal shut-off valves close automatically, helping keep water and cleaning solution inside your equipment rather than on your van floor or work clothes.

One connection system for your equipment
One of the biggest advantages of Benz Zaplock is that you can standardise the connections across your hoses, poles, triggers and lances.
For example, you might have a 1/2" Zaplock Coupling fitted to your main softwash hose reel and a 3/8" hose tail Zaplock Plug fitted to a smaller whip hose.
You can use another Zaplock Plug with a 1/4" hose tail on your water-fed pole, or a BSP threaded Zaplock Plug on a compatible spray trigger or lance.
All these plugs connect to the same Zaplock Coupling. There's no need to match hose tail sizes between plugs and couplings.
Once you have your equipment fitted with Zaplock connections, moving between different hoses and accessories becomes much quicker and more convenient.

What else do I need?
To make a complete connection, you'll need a Benz Zaplock Plug and a Benz Zaplock Coupling.
Choose the correct hose tail or BSP threaded fitting for your equipment. The plug and coupling do not need to have matching hose tail sizes, as every Benz Zaplock Plug is compatible with every Benz Zaplock Coupling.
Fitting tip: Secure hose tails with a suitable hose clamp or clip. For BSP threaded connections, check the thread type and sealing method required by your equipment before installation.
