Benz Zaplock Coupling
Professional double shut-off hose coupling for soft washing and water-fed pole window cleaning.
The Benz Zaplock Coupling is a professional quick-release hose connector designed to make connecting and disconnecting your softwash and window cleaning equipment easier, cleaner and safer.
Its built-in shut-off valve automatically closes when the Zaplock Plug is disconnected, helping prevent water or cleaning solution from escaping through the coupling. This is particularly useful when changing between water-fed poles, spray triggers and lances, or when disconnecting hoses at the end of a job.
Zaplock uses a universal connection design, so every Benz Zaplock Coupling accepts every Benz Zaplock Plug, regardless of the hosetail sizes fitted.
Choose your hosetail size
Each Zaplock Coupling is available in three hose tail sizes to suit different hoses:
- 1/2" (12.5 mm) – For standard softwash and garden hoses with a 12.5 mm inside diameter.
- 3/8" (8 mm) – For microbore hoses with an 8 mm inside diameter.
- 1/4" (5–6 mm) – For minibore and water-fed pole hoses with a 5–6 mm inside diameter.
Important: Hose tail size refers to the inside diameter (ID) of your hose, not the size of the Zaplock connection. All three coupling sizes connect to the same range of Benz Zaplock Plugs.
Why use Benz Zaplock Couplings?
Ordinary hose connectors can allow water or cleaning solution to escape when disconnected, particularly when there's still liquid in the hose.
Zaplock couplings have an internal shut-off valve that closes automatically when the plug is removed. When connected to a Zaplock Plug, both valves open to allow liquid to flow.
This double shut-off design provides a cleaner, more practical connection for professional equipment.

One connection system for your equipment
One of the biggest advantages of Zaplock is the ability to standardise your hose connections across your soft washing and window cleaning equipment.
For example, you can use a 1/2" Zaplock Coupling on your main softwash hose reel and connect it to a Zaplock Plug fitted to a smaller hose. The connection is the same, even though the hoses have different inside diameters.
The same principle applies to water-fed poles, whip hoses, triggers and lances. Once you've fitted the appropriate Zaplock connections, changing between equipment becomes much simpler.

What else do I need?
To make a complete connection, you'll need a Benz Zaplock Coupling and a Benz Zaplock Plug.
Select the appropriate hose tail size for each hose. The coupling and plug do not need to have matching hose tail sizes, as all Zaplock connections are interchangeable within the Benz Zaplock system.
Fitting tip: Secure the hose onto the hose tail with a suitable hose clamp or clip appropriate to your hose and operating pressure.
