Water-powered chemical injector for accurate dilution of Lightning Cleanze.
The Dosatron D3IL25IEVVF is a water-powered proportional chemical injector suitable for diluting Lightning Cleanze from 20:1 down to 4:1.
This is the updated model replacing the previously supplied D3RE25 and provides an efficient way to produce consistent working strengths without the need for electricity.
How the Dosatron works
The Dosatron is installed into the water supply and powered entirely by the flow of water passing through it.
As water flows through the unit, the Dosatron draws chemical concentrate directly from its container and injects it proportionally into the water flow at the selected dosing rate.
Once adjusted, the amount of chemical injected remains proportional to the volume of water passing through the unit.
Ideal for dosing Lightning Cleanze
The D3IL25IEVVF has an adjustable dosing range of 5% to 25%, equivalent to a chemical-to-water ratio of 1:20 to 1:4.
Expressed in the water-to-chemical dilution ratios commonly used with Lightning Cleanze, this gives an adjustable range of 20:1 to 4:1.
This makes it particularly useful for professional softwashing setups where different Lightning Cleanze working strengths are required for different surfaces and levels of biological contamination.

Installation
A reasonable level of competence with mechanical installation and pipework is required to install the Dosatron correctly.
We highly recommend fitting a suitable pressure regulator or pressure reducer to help protect the unit from excessive water pressure and pressure spikes. Appropriate protection against water hammer should also be incorporated where required.
To help protect the Dosatron from impurities and particles in the water supply, an upstream 60 micron (300 mesh) water filter is recommended.
Dosatron also recommends installing the unit in a bypass arrangement where practical, making it easier to isolate the injector for maintenance or flushing.

Using and maintaining your Dosatron
Always operate the unit within the specified water flow and pressure limits.
Regular flushing with clean water will help prolong the working life of the Dosatron. The unit should also be rinsed whenever the chemical being dosed is changed and before maintenance or handling of components that have been in contact with chemical concentrate.
Can this Dosatron be used with Bio Cleanze?
Yes. However, because the D3IL25IEVVF has a minimum dosing rate of 5%, Bio Cleanze must first be pre-diluted before being drawn through the Dosatron.
For this reason, we recommend using a separate Dosatron for each type of softwash chemical.
How to apply Bio Cleanze using this Dosatron

Pre-dilute 1 litre of Bio Cleanze with 4 litres of water. For a larger batch, use 5 litres of Bio Cleanze with 20 litres of water.

For a working strength comparable to approximately 50:1, set the Dosatron to approximately 9:1 water to the pre-diluted Bio Cleanze stock solution.

For a working strength comparable to approximately 25:1, set the Dosatron to approximately 4:1 water to the pre-diluted Bio Cleanze stock solution.
These working strengths correspond with commonly used Bio Cleanze dilutions for maintenance cleaning and stronger treatments such as roofs.
