Is clear and easy to read – with loads of photographs showing the principles of softwashing in action.
Explains the how-to of softwashing in a straightforward way that's easy to understand.
Contains practical knowledge that comes from several years trial and error "hands-on" softwashing experience.
The manual outlines the basics of softwashing and then demonstrates specific techniques for softwashing render. The numerous before and after photographs illustrate the methods described in the text, making the manual accessible to everyone.
This is the first fully illustrated paperback of its kind to enter the UK and Irish markets and as far as we know is unique in the world.
Written in everyday language, the manual is easy to read while imparting a professional understanding of, and greater competency in, softwashing render.
This means it’s now possible to get going and successfully run a softwashing business far faster than was previously the case – simply because readers of this manual will not have to “re-invent the wheel”.
No way! The manual is a practical how-to guide that every softwashing contractor will want to carry with them in their van for easy reference.
It explains how the specialised Benz “Clean & Maintain” softwash system – using two powerful biocide products that are fully approved by the Irish and UK governments – first cleans the render, and then keeps it clean much longer than other methods.
Yes! Although focused primarily on render cleaning, you'll find the principles of softwashing also apply to softwashing paths, patios, driveways, brickwork, concrete, tarmac, play areas, tennis courts and roofs.

We know many contractors view Health & Safety legislation as a "necessary evil". And we don't exactly get excited about it either ...
But we all have to face reality. H&S is a fact of modern business life.
H&S inspectors have the power to close down businesses who do not comply with the regulations
That's why we included the essential health, safety and technical product information in the manual. Boring though it may be to some, it is vital for all softwash professionals to know and understand the law and to remain compliant with it.

We use pencil jets in our brushes because we've found they don't clog or break as much as fan jets.
In the case of the Gardiner 45cm brush we use four of them. We turn the pump down so the flow rate is acceptable and does not produce much run-off.
Flow control at the pole is still critical however. Click the link on this page to learn about the solution we've found to be so successful ...

It's a free resource for people wanting to learn about the soft washing industry, to expand an existing business, or build a new business.
Soft washing reduces, or even eliminates, the need to use high-pressure washing.
Instead, once the build up of algae, lichen, fungus, moss and mould – the root causes of properties looking "dirty" – has been treated, the natural "self-cleansing" of sun, rain and wind removes the surface residue through time.
By educating the cleaning trade and public about soft washing we are helping develop an industry that offers sustainable treatments to clean and maintain exterior hard surfaces.
